How to Stretch Your Upper Calves Before Nordic Skiing

Stretching your calves increases flexibility in your ankles. This is important because your ankles play a vital role in Nordic skiing. The upper calf stretch is beneficial as both a warm-up and a cool-down stretch. If you don't feel the stretch, try taking another step backwards.7Hold this position for 10 to 12 seconds.8Switch from your left leg to your right leg.9Repeat the stretch.
